We have 40 years of experience in the Neonatology Center; in addition to having more than 20 Specialists in Neonatology and Subspecialists, Infrastructure and State-of-the-art Technology to be able to provide diagnostic certainty, through a comprehensive and multidisciplinary model with personalized and warm attention within our facilities.

During your stay at the Saint Anton Neonatology Center you will have 5 certified Specialist Physicians and Subspecialists in Neonatology and Pediatrics on a permanent basis; assigned to our service, who remain on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

In the hospitalization area of Saint Anton you will have a permanent team of certified health personnel that is made up of: 5 Medical Specialists and Subspecialists in Neonatology and Pediatrics, Undergraduate Internal Physicians, Head of Floor Nurses, Nurses with Post- Pediatric technician, Neonatology Specialist Nurses, Nursing Graduates and General Nurses, Nutrition Personnel, Pharmacovigilance and stretcher bearers, who remain on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Hearing screening.- It is a simple and quick test that, without causing any pain or discomfort to the newborn, detects the presence of hearing loss or deafness in newborns. Since April 1, 2010, at Saint Anton, it is performed with the best equipment for the diagnosis of hearing in newborns, these are Brain Stem Auditory Evoked Potentials (ABEP). The BAEP include a comfortable, reliable and accurate study, which is carried out between 10 to 20 minutes.

We use the best equipment from the Áudi-k brand for the early diagnosis of hearing loss or deafness in newborns. It is a fast and reliable study carried out by our Nursing staff, performing tests at 35 dB in both ears to determine the state of your baby’s hearing; Since by knowing the state of the baby’s hearing in time, if it is normal or has a certain degree of deafness, measures can be taken that allow an adequate development of your son or daughter.

Pre-study preparations

• Do not take a nap before the study to encourage the patient to fall asleep during the study.
• Continue your feeding routine, if you take a bottle, bring an extra one. If you use a pacifier, bring it.

Breastfeeding Support Group

The Hospital Saint Anton Neonatology Center offers support for breastfeeding with the Breastfeeding Support Group, where mothers who have had their baby at the Hospital are invited, and it is open to mothers who want to participate even if they have not had her baby here.

In the Breastfeeding Support group you will receive information and support during the breastfeeding period, from our team made up of lactation consultants and certified Pediatricians; according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Medical Academy of Breastfeeding.
